My Angel Without Wings

You say you could be my Angel,
If only you had wings.
That you and I would fly off,
To go places, do anything.

If only you had wings,
You could wrap them tight around me.
But what about your arms?
They do just fine. Better, possibly.

If only you had wings,
You could catch me when I fall.
You’d lift me up when I’m down,
You could be there when I call.

But what you don’t seem to realize,
Is just one of many things;

You’re already my Angel,
My Angel without wings.
